I had asked for recommendations for caulk, tub and tile cleaning. I ended up using The Grout Medic of West/Southwest Chicagoland. My experience with The Grout Medic of West/Southwest Chicagoland was fantastic. The owner came out and explained all of the different processes, what he recommended, and provided a quote. I called the owner a few times with more questions and my calls were answered or returned promptly. I had caulk replaced, tile cleaned and sealed. I also had the no slip areas and tub cleaned which had stains that I was unable to get out. *** was the technician and he gave me a lot of information and did a spectacular job. I was truly amazed at how clean everything was. The tub and shower look new again. I will definitely use them again for any of my tile needs, and I highly recommend them. We were very pleased with the work **** did in cleaning and resealing the grout on both the bathroom floor and the shower. He also did a clean job on caulking the kitchen and bathroom countertop. However, the caulk appeared milky white against our dark granite countertop. We asked *** to look at it; so, he had **** return to redo the caulking in those areas with a more clear caulk. The result is a lot better -- not totally clear, but I suppose that's the nature of caulking a dark countertop.We appreciated ***'s responsiveness to the concern and his willingness to have **** return to redo the caulking. Great customer service! We've recommended ******************************************* to several friends already.The Grout Medic of West/Southwest Chicagoland

I am very pleased with the work performed by tech ****. Had our 3 showers recaulked and our tile steam cleaned and sealed. His work was extremely well done! Very fair pricing and great communication! I highly recommend using Grout Medic!The Grout Medic of West/Southwest Chicagoland

Terrible work. They had to come back a 3rd time due to the lousy job that was done in our kitchen and diningroom tiles. Our floors are still uneven. Let me add our floors were even b4 they worked on it. Now you feel like you are stepping into a hole in places. The tech said during the 3rd visit there was nothing he could do about the tiles he replaced that are uneven now. He wouldn't even attempt it. So we ended up with a floor with dips in it. We paid $1500 for a what? Now he have to hire someone else to fix their mistakes. Tech was full of excuses even after we said our floor was even b4 he touched it. I am certainly sorry you are not happy with the results of this job. As we discussed with the customer, once we removed tileI am sorry that this customer is unhappy. When we quoted the work, we were not informed of the type of underlayment beneath the tile. When we removed the tile, we discovered that a rubber acoustic underlayment was used. This material would be used with floating floors (luxury vinyl) or laminate flooring. It should not be used with ceramic tile as it is soft and, as a result, has give. It was this that was the reason for tiles and grout to have cracked which was why we were called. Once we discovered this, we discussed it with the client and informed him that replacing the floor with an appropriate underlayment was the proper solution. The flooring ran throughout the home, and the customer did not want to pursue that option. He asked that we continue to replace the broken tile and grout. We did our best to complete the work but communicated our concerns because the underlayment was still there, and the possibility for future movement still existed. When issues developed a month later, we returned to repair the areas where the grout that we had replaced was damaged. For this reason, we only provide a 30-day warranty on this type of repair. We can not correct or warranty existing issues that can not be corrected.I wish the customer had taken our advice (replace floor) when we first discovered this critical error in the original installation. We do not install floors so our advice was not an attempt to sell a new floor. Instead, we tried to work with the customer, as requested, and do the best possible work with the facts that existed. The fact that the tile is set on a foam rubber is the issue here, not us and our work.As for returning, another factor for us is that the customer was very unprofessional with our technician, cursing at him or about him to her husband.
